Sarah has over 8 experience as a GI consultant across a wide variety of projects. These range from data capturing, data preparation and manipulation, spatial analysis, training and map production through to database and website design and development, reporting and presenting.
Sarah also has 3 experience as a lecturer at the Geography and Environmental Studies Department at the University of Stellenbosch, teaching courses in GIS and spatial and statistical analyses.
Using her computer science and programming background, Sarah specialises in environmental modelling and simulation. Projects she has been involved in include climate and hydrological modelling, road network analysis, demographics, statistical analysis, environmental noise and remote sensing.
In 2007 Sarah became part of the Extrium team responsible for assisting Northern Ireland, England and Wales with the First Round Noise mapping and subsequent Noise Action Planning process to meet the requirements of the Environmental Noise (England) Regulations, 2006.
